We created Odysy to be the frontier platform of experiential career exploration where high school and university can navigate their way through the day in the lives journeys of different potential careers that are and will be. Our platform is developed by researchers, enhanced by collaboration with psychologists, educators, industry professionals and career experts and powered by AI, allowing us to effectively connect students to their best suited careers.

The future of work is definitely in-definitive. According to the United Nations Future of Jobs Report 2018 [1], the rapid rate of technological development inevitability leads to the eradication of repetitive, menial jobs. Their report stresses the need for individuals to cultivate the abilities of lifelong learning, regular re-skilling and adaptability to flourish and thrive in the markets of tomorrow. Additionally, MIT [2] addresses the arising concerns about a growing mismatch between the needs of industries and skills of workers in the near future. This disparity can be mitigated by more people actively engaging in self-learning and being flexible enough to unlearn as well. Moreover, the Oxford University [3] states that the automation disruption of industries can cause approximately 47% of U.S jobs to become redundant in a span of mere 20 years.

Furthermore, Dell [4] purports that 85% of future jobs have not been invented yet, and as a result of technological dominance, the real value of employees will be realized with uniquely human skills, such as creativity, adaptability and the growth mindset. By acquiring uniquely user metrics and constantly reflecting the unpredictable state of tomorrow's careers on our platform, we bridge the gap between career conflicted students and uncertain job prospects. We believe that learning new skills and adapting to new careers become easier when individuals discover where their inherent knowledge and skills are most at home. We create narrative journeys that are versatile enough to provide students with a first-hand experience of how careers are, and ensure that they are able to keep evolving, with change.
